NYT praises Petoskey

Bestselling author Ann Patchett paid homage to Petoskey in a recent article. Then Traverse Magazine responded, in an essay by Mary Ellen Geist, with: “Ann Patchett told the world what we already know…”

And yes, it’s great. After all, the two most popular activities A. and I accomplish in any given day, often with good friends, are:

1) Going to the beach

2) Walking in the woods

“Within 10 minutes [of arriving], I started to wonder how I could spend the rest of my life in Petoskey,” writes Ann. I’m sure within 10 minutes of leaving, I’ll start wondering how to find my way back!
